Got a room only to use pool and parking, didn't / wouldnt ever sleep in hotel

Got this room to use the secure parking in close proximity to the beach and to use the excellent pool facilities. I wouldnt stay in the rooms, as I made that mistake a few years back and they haven't improved since then. Excellent price to get a room if only to park close to beach and use the pool though. The breakfast is good usually, although I didn't try it this time.

The hotel itself is old and crusty

Seafront hotel ideal for beach holidays.

The hotel is close to the beach and has a pleasant terrace.

There was no functioning air conditioning in the room. Unfortunately I was staying at a hot and humid time of year. The restaurant was expensive for what was provided.

Disappointing for the price.

Location was great for the beach and the train station just a short walk away. Trains are regular into Rome and takes around an hour. Fair is cheap too. But learn a little Italian, not many speak English in Anzio.

Hotel has a pool but you get charged for using it. There is a small bar but never manned. You have to ask at reception to be served. Milk and coffee vary rarely got replenished in the room. Lots of large groups of school trips staying too.

This place is a jewel, a time capsule from the 70s, even when they were some challenges related to the vintage AC and bath, I got an amazing experience thanks to the efficient staff that was always keen to help. Jacob from reception helped us a lot during our stay.

grat hotel to lounge at the pool or at the beach

We arrived late and just after the restaurant had closed but the restaurant manager organised a nice chicken for the 5 of us, very nice when we were all really hungry. The food section beside the pool is really good, fresh and reasonably priced. Breakfast has some great choice and the food is fresh. The room was conformable and very functional, plenty of space. The pool, deck chair and parasol are great and the staff on duty always ensured all behaved and did not splash water all around. The train station (Anzio Colonia) is only 10 minutes' walk, very convenient when not driving to return to Rome.

The bath in the room when used as a shower can be extremely slippery, an anti slip mat would have been great. The pricing policy around the pool is a bit hit and miss. The hotel description on Booking.com clearly advertised extra cost for sauna and gym but not for the pool nor deck chairs or parasol. On the day when we used the pool, we were charged for the deck chair + the parasol. The signage stating the fee only refers to the deck chairs, no reference to the parasol. I was also told that if we had booked from the hotel website directly, all would have been included. Not sure who the misinformation lies with but get it fixed as nothing worse than feeling you are paying for unjustified extra. After a small discussion, the lady on check out did remove the parasol cost. Finding information and tickets about train tickets was very hard until we found out that the easiest was to book online using Omio App.

Rooms need better AC--not recommended for summer stays

The room was beautifully designed. The desk staff was kind and welcoming upon arrival.

The room AC didn't work in August! It was too hot to sleep through the night. Ruined my stay, really, as I could barely sleep. The old non-functioning AC units MUST be replaced. Otherwise, avoid this hotel during summer season. The bathtub in the bathroom was an odd shape and almost impossible to get out of. I ended up breaking a rib. After my stay at this hotel, I was in pain with a broken rib for almost a month! The dining room manager and staff were really rude.

Ok place to stay. Clean but not famcy.

Was big and had ample parking.

The lights in my room were mostly dead or missing. The restaurant food was less to be desired. Raw pasta (not élidante), but still hard.

Very Good

Staff were lovely, near the train station, and the pool was brilliant. Plus you go down the steps to a small bar with a great view, down one more flight to the beach which was almost empty, despite it being August. With three generations on holiday together, it was just right.

Bit out of town, no taxis and nowhere much to eat nearby. Hotel pretty old fashioned but it was clean and breakfast was good

Good hotel near the beach and city center

Hotel location is good, you can reach the city center in 15-20 min by foot. Room is large enough, bright and clean, balcony is very comfortable with nice view to sea and city. Choice of TB programs is good, but with limited no of English channels. Staff is very friendly and helpful, check in and check out process is very fast.

Just one negative - breakfast is not corresponding to 4 stars hotel, not a wide choice and one more - no one informed us that it is necessary to order meals.
